Highland has not had much luck with Bakersfield Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Among those leading the charge was Ruby Yanagi, who scored 20 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Destiny Francies was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Highland has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season. As for Bakersfield Christian, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-6.
Highland will head out on the road to face off against Ridgeview at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Ridgeview presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Highland in California (Ridgeview is ranked 491st, while Highland is ranked 1211th). As for Bakersfield Christian, they will face off against Hanford West at 5:45 p.m. on Saturday.
