The Legacy Christian Academy Lions will head out on the road to  challenge  the Minarets Mustangs  at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Legacy Christian Academy knows how to get  runs on the board -- the  squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Minarets likes a good challenge.
Legacy Christian Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup  on Friday. They blew past Lee Vining 16-5. Considering the Lions have won ten contests by more than nine  runs this season, Friday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Jackson Balden was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. He  pitched one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-3 with two  stolen bases, one  run,  and one  double. That's the most  stolen bases  he has posted since back in March.

 In other batting news, Legacy Christian Academy let  Lucas Highfill and  Lincoln Brown run wild. Highfill  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  stolen bases, three  runs,  and one  triple, while  Brown  went 2-for-3 with three  stolen bases, two  runs,  and two  RBI. Legacy Christian Academy is 12-1 when  Highfill posts two or  more  runs, but 5-6-1 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of  Parker Kirstine, who  went 1-for-3 with one  triple, one  run,  and one  RBI.
 Legacy Christian Academy was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .520. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  batting average total in three consecutive  matches.
Meanwhile, Minarets made easy work of Farmersville  on Friday and carried off  a  12-2 win. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Mustangs.
 Jaydon VonWagner made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing five innings while giving up just two earned runs off   five  hits. VonWagner was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in two of his five plate appearances with three  stolen bases and two  runs.
 In other batting news,  Gavin Mitchell was  incredible,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with three  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  double.  Ethan Akins was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with two  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI.
 Legacy Christian Academy has  been performing  well recently as they've  won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7-1 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Minarets, their record now sits at 11-18.
Minarets' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them:  Legacy Christian Academy has hit smart this season,  having  averaged  an OBP of .490.
