The Neumann Regional Academy Golden Knights came tearing into Tuesday's match with 11 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Bucktail by a score of 55-48. That's another feather in the cap for Neumann Regional Academy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Neumann Regional Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was GiGi Parlante out in front who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. Parlante has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last 15 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Shanniyah Tutler, who scored 16 points along with three steals.
Neumann Regional Academy pushed their record up to 16-4 with that win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.4 points per game. As for Bucktail, their loss dropped their record down to 10-9.
Neumann Regional Academy will head out on the road to challenge South Williamsport at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Neumann Regional Academy is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than South Williamsport in Pennsylvania (Neumann Regional Academy is ranked 244th, while South Williamsport is ranked 506th). As for Bucktail, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Montgomery at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bucktail is facing Montgomery at the right time seeing as Montgomery is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
