Canyon Crest Academy came into Saturday's matchup having lost 12 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They put the hurt on the Morse Tigers with a sharp 9-1 win on Saturday. The Ravens' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Jinho Bae tossed a big game, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk).

At the plate, Connor Speer was incredible, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Henry Schmidt was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.

Canyon Crest Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .424. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Morse only posted a batting average of .167.

Canyon Crest Academy's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Morse, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Canyon Crest Academy will challenge Mar Vista at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mar Vista's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Canyon Crest Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Morse, they will square off against Kearny at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
