Pine Creek faced Pueblo West in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Eagles were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Cyclones. Considering the Eagles have won nine matchups by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Kyleigh Croyle made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off seven hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Abigail *Abby* Stenerson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Ahlanna Rymski was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run.
Pine Creek kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pueblo West only managed eight hits.

The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Pueblo West, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 9-5.
