Football Recap: Phillipsburg Piles Up the Points Against Haven

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Phillipsburg walked away with it. They took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 52-22 victory over the Haven Wildcats. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won four contests by 30 points or more so far this season.

Although Haven took the loss, they still got scores from Kolton Altvater, Zade Turner, and Cole Brawner.

Phillipsburg is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 46.4 points over those games. As for Haven, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.

Looking ahead, Phillipsburg will face off against Southeast of Saline at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Trojans have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. Haven does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
