Trinity Christian's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's fourth consecutive shutout on Tuesday. They didn't even let the Fayette County Tigers on the board, marking Trinity Christian's second-straight 13-0 shutout. Considering the Lions have won seven matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Ryan Melton was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Tj Ford was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Melton wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Trinity Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Trinity Christian is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.9 runs over those games. Fayette County dropped their record down to 4-11 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Trinity Christian has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Mary Persons on the 21st. As for Fayette County, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 6-2 defeat against Upson-Lee on the 20th.
