They were the victim of a tough 60-40 defeat at the hands of South Tahoe. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Truckee in their matchups with South Tahoe: they've now lost five in a row.
Campbell Mathews continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for South Tahoe, scoring 17 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Mathews has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last eight times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Wolfe, who scored ten points along with four steals.
Truckee has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for South Tahoe, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Truckee will take on Wooster at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
