Trimble Tech is a perfect 3-0 against Castleberry since February of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Lions at 12:00 p.m. Trimble Tech will be strutting in after a win while Castleberry will be coming in after a defeat.
On Friday, Trimble Tech made easy work of Polytechnic and carried off a 12-2 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.
Trimble Tech got a great performance from Xavier Castaneda as he struck out nine batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Castaneda has become a key player for the Bulldogs: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least eight strikeouts, but 6-11-1 otherwise.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Mario Reyna, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. He is becoming a predictor of Trimble Tech's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-1 (and 4-11-1 when he doesn't). Sebastian Avitia was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Trimble Tech kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Castleberry's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They came up short against Burkburnett, falling 10-4.
Keny Erazo made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Erick Medina, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
Castleberry's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Trimble Tech, they picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 8-12-1.
Trimble Tech came out on top in a nail-biter against Castleberry in their previous matchup back in March of 2025, sneaking past 9-8. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
