Rolling Hills Prep is 0-6 against Crossroads since March of 2015 but things could change on Monday. The Huskies will look to defend their home field against the Roadrunners at 3:15 p.m. Rolling Hills Prep is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.4 runs per game this season.
Rolling Hills Prep saw some tournament action on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out University 6-5.

Max Sarner made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs. He has become a key player for Rolling Hills Prep: the team is 7-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 5-6-1 otherwise.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Samuel Lopez, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Meanwhile, Crossroads waltzed into their game on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 11-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Roadrunners, who have now won seven matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Like Rolling Hills Prep, Crossroads also got a great game from a two-way player: Miles Zoog. On the mound, Zoog pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Meanwhile, Leo Le Blanc tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. At bat, Zoog went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double, while Le Blanc went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Alfred Bloomingdale was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. Jake McCaffrey was another key player, getting on base in two of his five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
Crossroads' victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-8. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Rolling Hills Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 12-7-1.
Both Rolling Hills Prep and Crossroads just can't seem to miss. The Huskies have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.6 hits per game. However, it's not like Crossroads struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.6 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Rolling Hills Prep might still be hurting after the 11-0 loss they got from Crossroads in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will the Huskies have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more baseball content.
