The Bell Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Palisades Dolphins at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Bell has six straight victories, Palisades has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Bell will bounce into Friday's game after beating San Pedro, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. The Eagles never let the Pirates get on the board and left with a 4-0 win on Wednesday.
Adolfo Esquivel looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Gustavo Ramirez, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Armando Aguilar, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Palisades came up short against Calabasas last Tuesday and fell 4-1.
Palisades saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Davis, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.
Palisades' loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Bell, their victory bumped their record up to 9-1.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Friday. Bell hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Palisades struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.5 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Bell got the 'W' when the teams last played back in April of 2024 against Palisades by a conclusive 11-1 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Dolphins have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
