Freeport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were one points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 79-78 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cranberry Area Berries. One positive for the Yellowjackets, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Freeport's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Cranberry Area, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-2.

Freeport won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Moniteau at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Cranberry Area, they will also get right back to it: they'll face off against Slippery Rock at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
