The Fairfield Falcons's game last Wednesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 38-36 win over Rodriguez. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Fairfield also won the last time the pair played back in January.

Mia Marquez and Gabriella Williams certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Marquez scored 18 points, while Williams scored 15 points. That was a full 50% of Rodriguez's points, marking the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Fairfield's win bumped their record up to 16-10. As for Rodriguez, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-19 record this season.
Fairfield will head out on the road to take on Wood at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
