Seaford is 8-2 against the Spartans since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Seaford Bluejays will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lake Forest Spartans at 2:15 p.m. Seaford will be looking to keep their 13-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Last Tuesday, Seaford faced the Spartans in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Seaford sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 65-62 win over the Spartans. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Seaford relied on the efforts of Vincent Evans, who scored 13 points along with five assists and four steals, and Omari Nichols, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 18 rebounds. Evans hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. Another player making a difference was Jordan Smith, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Seaford's win bumped their record up to 13-0. As for Lake Forest, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-2.
Seaford came out on top in a nail-biter against the Spartans in their previous matchup on Tuesday, sneaking past 65-62. Does Seaford have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Spartans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
