After flying high against the Columbia Montour Vo-Tech Rams on Saturday, the Shenandoah Valley Blue Devils came back down to earth. Shenandoah Valley suffered a tough 49-28 defeat at the hands of Tamaqua on Tuesday. Shenandoah Valley has not had much luck with Tamaqua recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Tamaqua got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kolbe Robb out in front who scored 4 points along with 7 assists and 5 steals. Robb is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sarah Hope, who scored 14 points.
Shenandoah Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Tamaqua, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Shenandoah Valley's road trip will continue as they head out to face Weatherly at 6:30 p.m. on December 8th. As for Tamaqua, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against North Schuylkill at 5:30 p.m.
