The Woodland Wolfpack will head out on the road to face off against the Eagle's Landing Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Woodland is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season.
For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Woodland and McDonough have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Tuesday. The Wolfpack were the clear victors by an 18-8 margin over the Warhawks. The Wolfpack haven't had any issues with the Warhawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Aliyah Allen and London Smith did most of the damage at the plate: Allen got on base in three of her five plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and three runs, while Smith went 3-for-4 with five stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those five stolen bases gave Smith a new career-high. AriYanna Taylor also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Woodland was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .542. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as McDonough only posted a batting average of .261.
Jonesboro typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Eagle's Landing proved too difficult a challenge. They skirted past the Cardinals 20-19.
Chase Robinson was a standout: she got on base in four of her six plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Lynette Herring was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two triples, two runs, and one RBI.
Eagle's Landing's record now sits at 5-9. As for Woodland, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Woodland has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Eagle's Landing struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Woodland took their victory against Eagle's Landing in their previous matchup back in September by a conclusive 16-7 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolfpack since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
