The Claysburg-Kimmel Bulldogs won the last time they faced Fannett Metal, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Claysburg-Kimmel snuck past Fannett Metal with a 48-44 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Claysburg-Kimmel.
Claysburg-Kimmel's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cory Walter, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Walter has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Haney, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Claysburg-Kimmel pushed their record up to 8-5 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Fannett Metal, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Claysburg-Kimmel will take on Rockwood at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Rockwood is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Fannett Metal, they will be playing at home against Forbes Road at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Forbes Road and Fannett Metal are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
