Volleyball Recap: River Forest Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses at Home

If Lake Station Edison wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played River Forest, they should've done a better job of containing Aliza Carrion. The Ingots won by a set and slipped past the Fighting Eagles 3-2 thanks in part to Carrion, who had 14 digs and four aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

River Forest was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (98-95), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 13-25, 17-25, 25-15, 15-10.

River Forest's victory ended a six-match drought at home and bumped them up to 3-13. As for Lake Station Edison, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.

River Forest didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Hammond Central on the 22nd. As for Lake Station Edison, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Marquette Catholic on the 23rd.
