Softball Recap: Dunwoody Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Dunwoody, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over the Southwest DeKalb Panthers on Monday. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Alyssa Rosenkoff looked comfortable as she tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Allie Sleep, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Brooke Parkes was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

The win got Dunwoody back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Dunwoody will be playing at home against Roswell at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Southwest DeKalb, they have already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against Newton on the 13th.
