The Enochs Eagles suffered their biggest loss since December 11, 2023 on Thursday. They suffered a rough 67-46 defeat at the hands of Pitman. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Enochs has suffered against Pitman since May 5, 2021.
When it comes to explaining why Enochs lost, one person who can't be blamed is Natalie Quinones. Despite the final result, she scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Quinones hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Dannielle Warburton, who scored four points along with ten rebounds and two blocks.
Pitman found their leader in underclassman Dailynn Greener, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. Greener is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 11 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Lexi Pulido, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Enochs and nudges their season record down to 5-13. As for Pitman, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-9 record this season.
Enochs will head out on the road to take on Downey at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Downey is on a nine-game streak of home losses, Enochs a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. Pitman will take on Gregori at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Gregori is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games.
