The Foothill Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 53-33 walloping at the hands of Yorba Linda. While losing is never fun, Foothill can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 670th, while Yorba Linda is ranked 260th).
Foothill's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Charlotte Fajardo, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Paige Bak, who scored four points along with 12 rebounds.
Foothill has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season. As for Yorba Linda, their victory bumped their record up to 11-8.
Foothill will play host again and welcome El Dorado, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Yorba Linda, they will head out on the road to challenge Canyon at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
