While North Daviess's win against North Central wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cougars pulled ahead with a 10-9 photo finish over the Thunderbirds on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Thunderbirds: they've now won five in a row.

One reason for the win was North Daviess' imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Jordan Knepp was especially locked on to North Central's QB and sacked him twice.
