Yuba City is 7-2 against the Broncos since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Yuba City Honkers will look to defend their home court against the Bella Vista Broncos at 7:00 p.m. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Yuba City and ten for the Broncos.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 55-18, which was the final score in Yuba City's tilt against the Tigers on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, Yuba City can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 639th, while the Tigers are ranked 185th).
Meanwhile, Bella Vista took a serious blow against the Tigers on Friday, falling 76-36.
Yuba City's loss dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Bella Vista, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost 16 of their last 18 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-20 record this season.
Yuba City skirted past the Broncos 39-37 in their previous matchup back in January. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Bella Vista's Ellie Thome, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine steals. Now that she's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Yuba City still be able to contain Thome? There's only one way to find out.
