Wesclin is a perfect 3-0 against Roxana since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Warriors will take on the Shells at 4:30 p.m. Wesclin is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.
Wesclin is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Centralia just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Monday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (8-7), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Ayden Peterson was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double. He has become a key player for Wesclin: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 7-12 otherwise. Lucas Harriss was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Roxana was able to grind out a solid win over Gillespie on Tuesday, taking the game 12-8. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Shells.
Roxana gave Bradley Herrin the start and clearly made the right call: he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. Herrin has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Max Autery, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and one double. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lyndon Thies, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs.
Wesclin's defeat dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Roxana, their victory bumped their record up to 17-6.
Wesclin came out on top in a nail-biter against Roxana in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, sneaking past 7-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
