Crystal Springs Uplands won the last time they faced Jefferson and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Gryphons were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Grizzlies. The result was nothing new for the Gryphons, who have now won six matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Marcus Kao made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three runs. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Connor Uchida and Brandon Ma did most of the damage at the plate: Uchida went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run, while Ma went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI Ma has posted since back in March. Nick Loew was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

The win made it two in a row for Crystal Springs Uplands and bumps their season record up to 12-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for Jefferson, their defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-15.

Crystal Springs Uplands will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Grizzlies: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
