Burlingame is 7-1 against Woodside since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Burlingame Panthers' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Woodside Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Hopefully Burlingame is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Woodside in California (Burlingame is ranked 429th, while Woodside is ranked 940th).
Last Thursday, Burlingame strolled past Mid-Peninsula with points to spare, taking the game 39-20. The team accrued 30 points in the first half and coasted on those for the win.
Woodside has not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They came out on top against South San Francisco by a score of 49-39 on Friday.
Burlingame's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Woodside, their victory bumped their record up to 5-10.
Burlingame and Woodside were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, but Burlingame came up empty-handed after a 32-31 defeat. Can Burlingame avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
