It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Cook had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Coahulla Creek Colts a 6-0 shutout. Considering the Hornets have won 20 matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Cook's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 24-4. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Coahulla Creek, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-19 record this season.

As of now, neither Cook nor Coahulla Creek have any future games scheduled.
