The Cameron County Raiders scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They walked away with a 50-40 victory over Smethport. That's another feather in the cap for Cameron County, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Leading Cameron County to victory were Navaeh Spaeth and Elsie Bresslin. Spaeth scored 15 points along with six rebounds and five steals, while Bresslin dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Bresslin also grabbed two+ steals for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cloe Farren, who scored six points.
Cameron County's win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-3. As for Smethport, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-7.
Cameron County will challenge Coudersport at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Smethport will be home for the holidays to greet Galeton at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Galeton comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 15 points in their last six games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
