MMI Preparatory School is 0-10 against the Knights since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. MMI Preparatory School will head out on the road to challenge the Lake-Lehman Knights at 6:00 p.m. MMI Preparatory School has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Even though MMI Preparatory School has not done well against the Hawkeyes recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. MMI Preparatory School walked away with a 47-38 victory over the Hawkeyes. The victory was just what MMI Preparatory School needed coming off of a 52-23 loss in their prior contest.
It was another big night for Bria Kringe, who almost dropped a double-double on 37 points and nine rebounds. That makes it 18 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of MMI Preparatory School's points. Cassidy Mcdermott was another key contributor, scoring four points along with 14 rebounds and two blocks.
Meanwhile, Lake-Lehman came up short against the Bucks on Saturday and fell 63-54. While losing is never fun, Lake-Lehman can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 268th, while the Bucks are ranked 104th).
MMI Preparatory School's victory ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-14. As for Lake-Lehman, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
MMI Preparatory School took a serious blow against the Knights in their previous meeting back in January, falling 54-23. Can MMI Preparatory School avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
