Saint Mary has gone a perfect 4-0 against Lick-Wilmerding recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Panthers will look to defend their home field against the Tigers at 11:00 a.m. Lick-Wilmerding took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Saint Mary's, who comes in off a win.
If Saint Mary's beats Lick-Wilmerding with six runs on Saturday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Panthers walked away with a 6-1 victory over Salesian College Preparatory on Friday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since June 2, 2021, but that streak is no more.
Lucas Calavita looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk).
