Eastern Randolph waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. Everything went their way against the Uwharrie Charter Academy Eagles as they made off with a 12-3 victory. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.
Chance Holdaway made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off eight hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with four RBI and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Cade McCallum was incredible, going 4-for-5 with three RBI and two runs.
