The Mercer Mustangs will head out on the road to challenge the Reynolds Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mercer is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
In what's become a running theme this season, Mercer gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They breezed by Commodore Perry on the road to the tune of 48-14. Mercer pushed the score to 31-10 by the end of the third, a deficit the Panthers had little chance of recovering from.
Meanwhile, Reynolds had to suffer through a rough 47-4 loss at the hands of the Sailors. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Reynolds has scored all season.
Mercer's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Reynolds, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Mercer against the Raiders in their previous meeting back in January as the squad secured a 46-16 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mercer since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
