Warren is 9-1 against Gahr since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Warren Bears will head out on the road to face off against the Gahr Gladiators at 5:15 p.m. Warren is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.
Warren suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a rough 62-26 loss at the hands of Paramount. Warren has struggled against Paramount recently, as their contest on Wednesday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Gahr's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. The match between Gahr and Lynwood wasn't particularly close, with Gahr falling 45-29. While losing is never fun, Gahr can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 317th, while Lynwood is ranked 63rd).
Warren has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for Gahr, their loss dropped their record down to 17-6.
Warren came up short against Gahr in their previous matchup on January 10th, falling 44-31. Can Warren avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
