The Covenant Christian Cougars waltzed into their game  on Tuesday with two straight wins  but they left with three. They came out on top against Trinity Christian by a score of  48-38. Given Covenant Christian's advantage  in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings  (they are ranked 144th, while the Eagles are ranked 801st), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Covenant Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Matthew Boughton led the charge by  scoring 17 points. Another player making a difference was  Noah Hill, who  scored ten points along with five  rebounds and four  steals.
 Covenant Christian is  on a roll lately: they've  won eight of their last nine matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season. As for Trinity Christian, they are  on a three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 6-17.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Covenant Christian will  square off against the Lions at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. As for Trinity Christian, they will head out on the road to  square off against  the Owls at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
