Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Little River couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 50-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sylvan-Lucas Mustangs on Friday. The Redskins' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Little River lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jaren Garrison, who rushed for 94 yards and three scores. Little River also got a significant boost from Jhet Ewertt, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 98 yards.

Little River's loss dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Sylvan-Lucas, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Little River does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sylvan-Lucas, they will square off against Lincoln on Friday. The Mustangs will need to watch out since the Leopards have now posted at least 31 points in their last five contests.
