Gilmer waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Dawson County Tigers as they made off with a 9-1 win. That looming 9-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bobcats yet this season.

Gilmer's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Dawson County, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, Gilmer will take on LaFayette at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dawson County, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Lumpkin County at 7:30 p.m. Dawson County has given up an average of 5.2 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.
