Make it eight blowout wins for the Silverado Hawks this season. They blew past Victor Valley 68-41 at home. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-12.
Elizabeth Udeze was her usual excellent self, scoring 27 points. She has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last 11 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Belinda Rincon, who scored nine points.
Silverado pushed their record up to 14-6 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Victor Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-16.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Silverado will take on Granite Hills at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Granite Hills has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Victor Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Barstow at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
