Grant County waltzed into their matchup Thursday with three straight wins but they left with four. They breezed by Oldham County on the road to the tune of 77-35. 77 seems to be a good number for Grant County as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Meanwhile, Ashley Ridge took their game at home on Monday with ease, bagging a 70-36 win over Woodland. Given Ashley Ridge's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 29th, while Woodland is ranked 210th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Dianna Blake, who scored 23 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Katie Johnson, who scored 14 points.
Grant County's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Ashley Ridge, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2.
