The Fox Warriors will venture away from home to take on the Parkway Central Colts at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Fox's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Parkway Central's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Fox is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest loss since October 17, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against Lindbergh, falling 10-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Flyers: they've now lost seven in a row.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last matchup, Parkway Central made sure to put some runs up on the board against Parkway North on Monday. The Colts were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over the Vikings. The result was nothing new for the Colts, who have now won nine games by nine runs or more so far this season.
Olivia Knock was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and only one walk). Knock was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Parkway Central got a big performance out of Gianna Pearson, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Olivia Magruder, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one run.
Parkway Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in four consecutive contests.
With the victory, Parkway Central broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 13-5. As for Fox, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.
Wednesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Fox hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .324. However, it's not like Parkway Central struggles in that department as they've averaged .336. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Fox came up short against Parkway Central in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 14-11. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
