Having just played yesterday, the Mendocino Cardinals will head out on the road to face off against the South Fork Cubs at 5:00 p.m. on December 13th. Mendocino is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
On Tuesday, Mendocino came up short against Willits and fell 28-20. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Mendocino has scored all season.
Meanwhile, South Fork was able to grind out a solid win over Anderson Valley on Saturday, taking the game 47-38. The victory made it back-to-back wins for South Fork.
Mendocino's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for South Fork, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season.
Mendocino strolled past South Fork in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 by a score of 43-29. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mendocino since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
