Ripon is 0-4 against El Capitan since March of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. The Ripon Indians will host the El Capitan Gauchos at 4:00 p.m. El Capitan took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Ripon, who comes in off a win.
Ripon is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Buhach Colony 10-1 on Friday. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Thunder recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Joseph Molthen spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up seven Ks. What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Logan Spear was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in runs. Another player making a difference was Landon Kackley, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3.
Ripon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .513. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, El Capitan came up short against Gregori on Saturday and fell 8-5.
El Capitan saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jesse Saucedo, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Noah Ruiz was another, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
The win got Ripon back to even at 4-4. As for El Capitan, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Ripon has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.5 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like El Capitan struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
