Lower Lake is 9-1 against the Saints since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Lower Lake Trojans will be playing at home against the St. Helena Saints at 7:30 p.m. Lower Lake has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Lower Lake beat the Wolverines 54-48.
Tiahna Tubbs was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 31 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it nine consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Lower Lake's points. Another player making a difference was Serenity McCoy, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, St. Helena's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their 14th straight loss. They took a 39-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of Novato.
The victory got Lower Lake back to even at 12-12. As for St. Helena, they dropped their record down to 4-19 with that defeat, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Lower Lake skirted past the Saints 34-31 in their previous matchup back in January. Will Lower Lake repeat their success, or do the Saints have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
