Acalanes is 4-0 against Mt. Diablo since December of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Acalanes Dons will head out on the road to take on the Mt. Diablo Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. Mt. Diablo took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Acalanes, who comes in off a win.
In what's become a running theme this season, Acalanes gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They blew past Northgate 4-0. The high-scoring effort was just what Acalanes needed considering they were shutout in their previous zero match.
They hit Northgate with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Ella Thomason (2),
Megan Yee, and
Nicole Nguyen.
Meanwhile, sadly, Mt. Diablo is still looking for their first win of the season after 17 matches. They suffered a tough 10-0 defeat at the hands of College Park on Thursday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Mt. Diablo in their matchups with College Park: they've now lost eight in a row.
Acalanes' win bumped their record up to 9-5-4. As for Mt. Diablo, their loss was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-17.
