The Lassen Grizzlies will be playing at home against the Gridley Bulldogs at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lassen's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
Lassen fell victim to Yreka's stalwart defense on Thursday and couldn't make it onto the board. They fell just short of the Miners by a score of 1-0. Jordan Heffner was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on her (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.
Meanwhile, after soaring to eight goals the game before, Gridley were a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. Their tough 3-0 loss to Las Plumas might stick with them for a while.
Lassen's loss dropped their record down to 7-11-2. As for Gridley, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8-2.
Everything went Lassen's way against Gridley in their previous meeting back in February of 2022 as Lassen made off with a 4-0 victory. Does Lassen have another victory up their sleeve, or will Gridley turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
