Make it seven blowout wins for the Ontario Jaguars this season. They blew past Don Lugo 58-33. The win was some much needed relief for Ontario as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Hailey McDow continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 27 points along with eight steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Jade Martinez was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds.
Loss or not, Don Lugo got some senior leadership from Sarah Magadan and Issabela Medina. Magadan scored 16 points along with five steals, while Medina. scored four points along with eight rebounds. Medina is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games she's played.
Ontario's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.1 points per game. As for Don Lugo, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season.
Ontario will be playing at home against Baldwin Park at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Baldwin Park comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 19 points in their last seven games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Don Lugo, they will head out on the road to challenge Montclair at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Montclair presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Don Lugo in California (Montclair is ranked 333rd, while Don Lugo is ranked 740th).
