The West Valley Mustangs will face off against the Rubidoux Falcons at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. West Valley is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
On Tuesday, West Valley got the win against Entrepreneur by a conclusive 16-2. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by ten runs or more this season.
Ricardo Garcia and Maximus Vega made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Garcia pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Vega struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. At the plate, Garcia went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run, while Vega went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Nathaniel Navarrete and Caleb Trujillo did most of the damage at the plate: Navarrete got on base in all three of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one double, while Trujillo got on base in all three of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those four stolen bases gave Trujillo a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexander Boring, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
West Valley hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Entrepreneur struck out eight times.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last matchup, Rubidoux made sure to put some runs up on the board against Bethel Christian on Friday. The Falcons blew past the Kings 10-3.
Nicolas Elizondo was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with six stolen bases and three runs. Elizondo is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Christian Leon, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases and two runs.
Rubidoux now has a winning record of 2-1. As for West Valley, their win bumped their record up to 8-0.
Rubidoux's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: West Valley hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .415.
