The Colonie Central Raiders put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They managed a 71-65 win over Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake. Given Colonie Central's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked third, while the Spartans are ranked 274th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Colonie Central got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Julius Reed out in front who scored 26 points. Cameron Trimarchi was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with six rebounds.
Colonie Central pushed their record up to 16-0 with that win, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Colonie Central will head out on the road to take on the Flying Dutchmen at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Guilderland is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. As for Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake, they will be playing at home against the Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Schenectady's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last eight matchups.
