On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Rangeloff was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-4 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and one  double. Those  four  RBI gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Hallie Mottl was a standout: she got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  RBI. That's the most  stolen bases  she has posted since back in September of 2024.  Bayard will have a little extra prep time after the  defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Chadron on September 4. As for North Bend Central, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next  match,  a  10-0  win against Centennial on the 25th.
