The Campbell Spartans will venture away from home to  face off against the Paulding County Patriots  at 5:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Campbell will be strutting in after a  win while Paulding County will be coming in after a  loss.
On Tuesday, Campbell made easy work of Osborne  and carried off  a  20-1 victory. The  win continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now won eight in a row.
 Chase Lewgood looked comfortable as she  pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit.

 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Harper MacDonald, who  went 3-for-4 with one  home run, seven  RBI,  and three  runs. Those  seven  RBI gave  her a new career-high.  Aubrey Headd was another key player,  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances with three  stolen bases and three  runs.
 Campbell  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .688. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Osborne only posted  an  OBP of  .467.
 Meanwhile, Paulding County fell victim to Hillgrove and their airtight pitching crew  on Tuesday. They took  a  4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hawks. The  matchup marked the first time this season in which the Patriots were not able to get on the board.
 Paulding County's defeat dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Campbell, their record now sits at 9-12.
Thursday's   game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Campbell hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .351. However, it's not like Paulding County struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .378. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
