Arrowhead Christian is a perfect 4-0 against Rancho Christian since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. Arrowhead Christian will host Rancho Christian at 6:00 p.m. Arrowhead Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.
Arrowhead Christian is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest defeat since April 9, 2025 on Saturday. They came up short against Great Oak, falling 13-5. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Deegan Martinez made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Brendan Wilkes, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and two runs.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rancho Christian). They blew past Calvin Christian 32-2 on Wednesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their one-run performance the game before.
Cody Horner made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits (and only one walk). Horner was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs.
In other batting news, Cylis Proffitt was a standout: he went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, five RBI, and three doubles. Those three doubles gave him a new career-high. Cooper Rivera was another key player, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with one home run, five runs, and two stolen bases.
Rancho Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .848. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Arrowhead Christian now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Rancho Christian, their win bumped their record up to an identical 2-3.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Monday. Arrowhead Christian hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1 home runs per game. However, it's not like Rancho Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 1.6 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Everything went Arrowhead Christian's way against Rancho Christian in their previous matchup back in February of 2025, as Arrowhead Christian made off with a 9-0 victory.
